He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Ken Hoekstra; and his brothers, Robert and Gordon. He is survived by: his grandsons, Isaiah and Adam; his wife Elaine; his children, Sue Hoekstra, Deb Plaggemars, Julie Plaggemars, Scott and Shelley Plaggemars; his great grandchildren, Ashley, Austin Morren (Evelyn), Devan, Emily Hoekstra, MacKenna Hoekstra, Matt Meekhof, Chase Hoekstra, Eric Plaggemars and Reuben Plaggemars; his brother Earl (Lin Plaggemars); and his in-laws, Ruth Plaggemars, Mary, Al Teerman, Tom and Kathy Timmer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
