George Edward Nevins Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lexor Nevins and Wilma Nevins; his parents-in-law, Wayne and Mary Zahm; his sister Gwendolyn Brown (Glendon); his sisters-in-law, Nona Brown and Judy Blain; and his brothers, Donald Nevins (Peggy), Jack Nevins (Joyce), Robert Nevins and Marvin Kipp.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Nevins (Zahm); his children, Todd Nevins (Renee), Troy Nevins, Marisa Elms (Christopher), Karolyn Bishop (Michael) and Geordan Nevins; his grandchildren, Raelynn Turner (Hayley), Megan Wolschleger, Jonah Bishop, Madelyn Bishop (Jon Bly), Kaitlyn Bishop (Josh Heistan), Elijah Bishop, Samuel Bishop (Tori Talbot), Brendan Elms (Desteny), Noah Elms (Alyssa Misiak), Rachel Pepper (Evan), Logan Elms (Elece Vandergeld), Ethan Elms, Riley Geoghegan (Hunter), Dominik Nevins (Emmie Happ), McKenzie and Isabelle Nevins; his sisters, Marilyn Hardy and Carolyn Gort (Harv); his siblings-in-law, Richard Zahm (Bonnie), Sandy Nevins, Gale Hansell, Cheryl Valk (Marlowe) and Joyce Massey (Tony); and his friend Gordon Butterfield. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (1935 Plymouth Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
