Gene Owen Schra Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Owen Schra of Holland, Michigan, who passed away on November 10, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Schra and Mabel Schra (Boerman); his siblings, Hester Volkers (Charlie), Lois Dykhuis (Jim), Myrtle Dubbink (Ted), Mildred Zoerhof, Harris Nyboer, Glenn Rigterink and Howard Zoerhof; and his brother-in-law Joe Elenbaas.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Gary Schra (Connie), Linda Vander Kooi (Mel) and Donald Schra (Judy); his brother Robert Schra; and his siblings-in-law, Jan Hilbrands (Will), Jim Le Febre (Lori) and Louise Elenbaas. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given to The Holland Rescue Mission or Crossroads Prison Ministry.
