She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill TerHaar and Catherine TerHaar of Holland; her husband Richard S. Race Sr.; her son Randall S. Race of Douglas; and her siblings, Bruce TerHaar (Lynn) of Holland, Jerry Lee TerHaar of Grandville and Arlene Lankheet (Rod) of Fennville.

She is survived by: her children, Richard S. Race Jr. of Holland and Russell S. Race of Holland; her brother Dale of Grand Haven; and her grandchild Brooke Race of Holland. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
