He was predeceased by: his parents, Albertus Knapp and Lavina Knapp; and his stepson Bob Reid. He is survived by: his wife Margie; his children, Kristi, Steve Bareman, Kurt and Tracy Knapp; his stepchildren, Jane, Joey Eagleston, Susie Shafer, Jerry and Sue Reid; his sisters, Darla, Harv Ykema, Darlene and Terry Bouwman; and his siblings-in-law, Jane Walton, Dick, Linda Schaftenaar, Becky and Rick Van Eenenaam. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Holland or Community Reformed Church.
