We are sad to announce that on April 24, 2023, at the age of 98, Dorothy Mae Schrotenboer (Holland, Michigan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Assink and Alice Assink; her husband Herb Bloemers; her daughters, Carol Reck and Sharon Dekker; her husband Ben Schrotenboer; her son-in-law Paul Elenbaas; her siblings, James Assink (Nella), Cora VandenBosch (George), Herm Assink (Hazel) and Bern Assink (Glada); her nephew Jerry Assink; and her nieces, Marilyn Tebelak and Mary Assink.
She is survived by: her daughter Judy Elenbaas; her sons-in-law, Gary Dekker (Joyce) and John Reck; her children, Scott Schrotenboer (Julie), Kathy Pohler (Bob), Tom Schrotenboer (Cindy), Nancy Horlings (Walt), Ed Schrotenboer (Celia) and Burnell Schrotenboer (Fran); and her close friend Leslie Lampen. She is also survived by grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in Dorothy's honor may be given to Hospice of Holland.
