He was predeceased by: his mother Louise Van Huis; and his brother Robert Van Huis. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Van Huis; his children, Karen Garvelink (Dennis), Larry Van Huis (Gabi), Wayne Van Huis (Connie) and Ken Van Huis; his grandchildren, Kristina, Andrew, Rachael, Benjamin, Samuel, Janelle Arens (James), Travis and Nathan; and his sister-in-law Margaret Pyle.
