Dolores Vanden Heuvel Obituary
The memory of Dolores Vanden Heuvel of Holland, Michigan, who passed away on April 6, 2025 at the age of 86, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband Reverend Thomas C. Vanden Heuvel; her son Daniel Lee Vanden Heuvel; her brothers, Peter Van Putten (Mary Van Putten) and Allen (Sharon Van Putten); and her siblings-in-law, Reverend Henry, Nancy Vanden Heuvel and Marilyn Vanden Heuvel.
She is survived by: her children, Geoffrey (Darlene Vanden Heuvel), Jane (Drew Jelgerhuis), Joel (Deb Vanden Heuvel), Jim (Ruth Vanden Heuvel) and Jon (Vicki Vanden Heuvel); her brother Ron (Gert Van Putten); her siblings-in-law, Mary, Jim Zuidema, Bill and Ellen Vanden Heuvel; and her parents, Jacob Putten and Marie Van Putten. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home (315 E 16th St, Holland, MI 49423). A memorial service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Central Avenue Christian Reformed Church (259 Central Ave, Holland, MI 49423).
Memorial contributions may be given to Mid-America Reformed Seminary.
