Carlton Wierks Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carlton Wierks of Holland, Michigan, born in Hospers, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 1, 2024 at the age of 79. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arthur Wierks and Wilhelmina Wierks; his wife Mary Ann Hooyer of Sheldon, Iowa.; his daughter Christa (Rob Murphy); his grandchildren, Acacia, Katriya, Isaiah, Shamirah, Joshua, Ezra and Micah; his son Carl (Jill); his grandchildren, Collette, Ella and Josiah; his daughters, Michelle and Rachel; and his grandchild Christianna Joy Murphy.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Christ Memorial Chapel (595 Graafschap Rd, Holland, MI 49423).
As a fitting tribute to Bruce's dedication to helping others hear and experience the love of Jesus, the family welcomes donations to the mission work of Bruce's granddaughter Katriya, who is engaged in a one year worldwide Christian mission.
