With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carl J. Folkert (Holland, Michigan), who passed away on January 5, 2024 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hulda Folkert and Irvin Folkert; his parents-in-law, Harvey and Mary Lou Koop; and his nephew Brett Folkert.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Koop Folkert; his daughter Kate Folkert; his daughter-in-law Erin Overmeyer; his daughter Libby; his son-in-law Matthew McKinley; his son Tim; his daughter-in-law Sara Folkert; his grandchildren, Asher, Canon, Alaia Folkert, Claire and Reece McKinley; his brothers, Dave (Jane Folkert) and Alan (Judi Folkert); and his in-laws, Mary Lynn Arwady, Brian, Cathy Koop, Janet and Roger Brondyke. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
