He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon "Pete" and Goldie Amsler (Gallant); his wife Diamantina (Ramirez); and his siblings, Verna Farmer, Ethel "Norie" Rapp, Harold Amsler, Caddie Amsler, Vernon Amsler, Nancy Kilbourn and Zenith Pratley.
He is survived by: his children, Diamantina Johnston (Martin) of Webberville, Rolene Jean Amsler of Albion, Roland Gene Amsler II (Laura Phillips) of Texas and Diaman Amsler (Brian) of California; and his grandchildren, James Hamilton, Eric Hamilton, Trey Amsler, Amanda Amsler, Kristina Sargent and Diamantina Denbrock (James). He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
