He is survived by: his parents, Roy McConnell and Bernice McConnell (Persing); his spouse Stella McElmurry; and his sons, David (Janice) of Hillsdale and John (Kristine) of Kentwood, Michigan. He is also survived by three grandchildren; three great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
