She was predeceased by: her parents, Linza Handshoe and Mae Handshoe (Conley); her husband William Scott; her sisters, Norma Owens, Elaine Spaulding, Lola Kean and Goldie Mertz; and her stepfather Grady Carpenter.
She is survived by: her son James Nunnery (Tara) of Jonesville; and her siblings, Louraine Bolen, Nola Hayward, Tracy McMillan (David), Debbie Deese, Clark Handshoe and Clarence "Bud" Handshoe. She is also survived by five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
