She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Nelligan and Dorothy Nelligan (Struble); her sisters, Mary Gibson and Marcia Clark; and her nieces, Debbie and Sheree.
She is survived by: her husband Dale Shields; her daughters, Robin Spiteri (John) of Hillsdale, Lori Jackson (Scott) of Hillsdale and Monica Shields of Maumee, Ohio; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Carpenter (Matt), Sarah (Matt Fee), Adrianna Spiteri-Dew (Daniel) and Derek Spiteri (Mary Margaret); her great grandchildren, Piper, Tatum, Camden, Blake, Dominic, Bruno, Henrietta, Nellianne and Nicolai; and her niece Denise Baker.
Memorial contributions are suggested to a Hillsdale County Community Foundation Scholarship of the Donor's Choice.
