She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Kimling and Ethel Kimling (Reynolds); her son Rodney "Butch" Ely; her granddaughter Jessie Tran; and her daughter-in-law Leann Ely.
She is survived by: her children, Patty Spence (Keith) of Hillsdale, David Ely (Marla) of Elkhart, Allen Ely (Angella) of Hillsdale, Connie Chapin (Ed) of Osseo and Joanne Chen (Keen) of Hillsdale; her siblings, Sally Ball of Ridgecrest, Judy Passmore of Hillsdale, Vicky Watson of Coldwater and Rick Kimling (Jan) of Clayton; her daughter-in-law Janet Ely of Reading; and her sister-in-law Karleen Kimling of Comstock Park, Michigan.. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
