It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard Eugene Black (Hillsdale, Michigan), born in Van Wert, Ohio, who passed away on July 6, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Black and Iva Black (Fox); his wife Evelyn Gratz; his grandchildren, Erin and Garret Knapp; and his brothers, John, Herbert and Lester Black.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Knapp (Garry) of Phoenix, Randy Black (Sue) of Waldron, Roger Black, Elizabeth McLove of Hillsdale, Sandra Everline, Don Newberry of Allen, Sharon McKibbin (Robert) of Osseo, Carl Black (Kathy) of Montgomery and Ellen Alpaugh (Ted) of Camden; his siblings, Evelyn Underhill, Emma Griffiths, Francis Black (Norma) and Lowell Black (Sherry); and his sisters-in-law, Yvonne and Wanda Black. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
