She was predeceased by: her parents, Fredrick Steele and Lowana Steele; and her grandparents, Crawford Lynford Gilbert, Ella Rita Gilbert, George Steele and Vera Steele.
She is survived by: her children, Alysia Steele, Keyara Steele and Sylvester Taylor, Jr.; and her sisters, Lynne Curtis (John), Lora Linton (Marlon), Ruby Gratz (Sylvester) and Taylor. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
