She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Smith and Violet Smith (Shearer); her husband Ray Fansler Jr.; and her siblings, Claude, Jack, Larry Smith, Juanita Post, Joyce Smith and Audrey Collins.
She is survived by: her children, Joy Veurink (Redge) of California, Cindy Holmes (Rod) of Wisconsin, Joyce Rehklau (Rick) of Sturgis, Michigan and Richard Fansler (Laura) of North Adams, Michigan; and her brothers, Dale Smith of Jonesville and Elwyn Smith of Hillsdale. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
