He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Margaret Shearman (DuBois) and Ray Merle Shearman; his wife Carol (Wolff); his daughters, Melanie Shearman and Lynda Shearman; his siblings, Joella Champion, Tony Haley, Auby Haley and Lynn Shearman; and his brother-in-law Jim Everett (Jackie).
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Lewis (Bryan) of Columbus and David Shearman (Sachiyo) of New Bern; his granddaughters, Natalie, Bethany Lewis, Lisa and Emma Shearman; his siblings, Jay Carey (Kathleen) of Chandler, Arizona and Jackie Hall of Groveland, Florida; and his siblings-in-law, Randy Champion (Joella) and Pam Shearman (Lynn).
Visitation was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home (40 S Manning St, Hillsdale, MI 49242). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bankers Baptist Church (3951 Bankers Rd, Hillsdale, MI 49242). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at the Bankers Cemetery (4611 Cole Rd, Hillsdale, MI 49242).
