He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank S. Gutowski and Rose Gutowski (Golanczyk); his wife Ilene Brennen; and his son Roger Gutowksi. He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Ann Balogh (Jeff) of Hillsdale and Barbara Bajorek of Osseo; his grandchildren, Melissa Downey, Emily Bajorek DeLater, Katherine Balogh and Benjamin Bajorek (Kris Mae); his great grandchildren, Theodore, Lucia, Gracie and Hazel; and his great great grandchild Braedon Kylo.
