He was predeceased by: his parents, Red Sawyer and Beatrice Sawyer (Case); his wife Patricia Clark; and his son Scot. He is survived by: his sons, Steven Sawyer (Karen) of Cedar Park and Michael Sawyer (Charnelle) of Hillsdale. He is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Hillsdale City Church.
