We are sad to announce that on December 22, 2020, at the age of 99, Carl Vernon Shaffer of Hillsdale, Michigan, born in Camden, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Shaffer and Magnolia Shaffer (Royer); his spouse Marion W. H. Gibb; his granddaughter Stephanie; his son-in-law Steve Peterson; and his siblings, Marcille, Helen, Jean, Mary, Charles, Loren, Paul and Roy.

He is survived by: his children, Margaret Peterson of Hillsdale and Harry Shaffer (Julie) of Hillsdale; and his siblings, Lillie Junge of Holgate and Richard Shaffer of Frontier. He is also survived by four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Hillsdale County or Hillsdale United Brethren Church.
