He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Heffernan and Cecelia Heffernan (O'Connell); and his sister Carol Ann Harris. He is survived by: his wife Joni; his sons, Robert Heffernan (Candace), Matthew Heffernan (Cheryl) and Eric Heffernan (Tori); his grandchildren, Ashley, Christopher, Brady, Nicholas, Isabella and Jillian; and his sisters, Kim James (Anthony) and Betsy Evans (Darrell). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
