He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter O. "Spike" Briggs, Jr. and Laura Manly Briggs; his wife Janet; his children, Katherine Goldberg (Tom), Jane Murray, John (Robin), Andrea Shea (Kevin) and Nicholas Reo (Angie); and his brothers, Jim Briggs (Mary Lou) and Walter Briggs (late Gwen). He was also cherished by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
