He was predeceased by: his parents, Forest Whitacre and June Whitacre (Rose); his brother Bernard; and his grandson Mason. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Whitacre (Bastien) of Hillman; and his sister Caroline Gilbertson (Darryl) of Hawley, Minnesota.. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
