It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Karen Rea of Hillman, Michigan, born in Brownstown Township, Michigan, who passed away on October 4, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Bouchey and Grace Bouchey (Benac); her husband Gerald Rea; her sons, Thomas Rea and Todd Rea; and her brother Donald Bouchey.

She is survived by: her children, Tamyra Schumacher, Patricia Cross (Stephen) and Steven Rea (Lee); her grandchildren, Amanda Richmond (Michael), McKenzie Rea (Ryszard Szlenkie), Tyler Rea, Todd Rea, Adam Schumacher and Blase Schumacher; her stepgrandchildren, Steve Cross (Jenny), Ryan Cross (Laura) and Jasmine Burnett; her great grandchildren, Luna, Odin, Soleil Richmond, Harper and Henry Szlenkier; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Arianna Cross, Xavier Cross, Kousa, Nanami and Aili Monro; her brothers, Gary Bouchey (Gloria) and Thomas Bouchey (Rosemary); and her sister-in-law Carrie Bouchey. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Interment: St. Augustine Catholic Church, In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church.
