She was predeceased by: her parents, Ronald Smith and Susie Smith (Shepherd); and her former husband Terry Stainsby. She is survived by: her husband Bud Shaw of Hillman; her children, Scott Wertman (Becky) of Gaylord, Ronni Dolg (Tim Mizwicki) of Hartford and Christopher Stainsby (Leafa Wroblewski) of Hillman; her grandchildren, Arianna, Darrien, Cadence, Emerson, Ella, William and Ransom; her siblings, Bryan Smith (Debbie) of Attica, Sandy Fessler (Jerome) of Lachine and Mary Jo Lemon (Phil) of Prescott, Arizona; and her stepchildren, James Shaw of Grand Rapids, Amanda Shaw (Scott Anderson) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Steven Shaw of Alpena.
