He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Jennie Simpkins; his parents, Chester Arthur Simpkins and Emma Marie Simpkins (Horn); his siblings, George Simpkins, Paul Simpkins, Callie Thompson, Emo and Devine; and his great grandchild Raiden Fleming.
He is survived by: his children, William Arthur Simpkins and Lucille Ann Stephenson; his grandchildren, Marie Gaglio, Jenny Robinson, Miranda Simpkins, Jessie Fleming, Matthew Simpkins, William Simpkins and TJ Underwood; and his brother Shade Simpkins. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
