She was predeceased by: her spouse Udo Salk; her parents, Daniel Kwiatkowski and Marie Green (Joseph); and her sister Patricia Debski (late Alfred). She is survived by: her sons, Dan Salk (Beth), Randy Salk (late Elaine), Curtis Salk and Raymond Fountain (Kim); her grandchildren, Brendan Salk, Madelynn Knapp (Mark), Shannon Salk, Kristen Wolf (Steve), Angie Majewski (Ken) and Lee Fountain; her great grandchildren, Chloe Radatz, Jonathan Majewski, Skylor Majewski, Wren Wolf, Shayda Wolf and Jordan Knapp; her sibling Beverly Knoche (late Dennis); and her caregiver Debbie Fisher.
Garey was a proud supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where donations can be made in her honor.
