She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis D. Thomas and Rosa Lee Thomas; her husband Benjamin Stokes Jr.; her son Reggie McClendon; her son-in-law Thomas Lee; her grandson Reggie McClendon; and her brother Joseph Taylor.

She is survived by: her children, Benjamin III (Yoshie), Bryan (Andrea), Denaneer and Nathan; and her brother Randolph Wilson. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
