He was predeceased by: his wife Anne Catherine Schwartz (Sutherland); his children, Anne Marie Schwartz, Ronald Ciccarelli, David Lovie and Gerard Schwartz; and his grandson Stephen Maher.
He is survived by: his sister Margaret Engle (Richard); and his children, Mary Maher (Drake), Suzanne Schley (Michael), Therese Schwartz, Conrad (Andrea), Joseph (Sharon) and Michael (Cathy).
