He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Spray Staples and Lynn W. Staples of Saginaw; and his brother Mark W. Staples of Wallingford. He is survived by: his children, Susanna M. Drennen (Samuel Drennen) of Athens, Georgia and Todd S. Staples (Jody Kinsella Staples) of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Emma, James Drennen, Johnny and Charlie Staples; and his siblings, Nancy Volosin of Visalia and Guy Staples of Grand Rapids.
The family would prefer memorial contributions be made in Steve's name to The Lakeside Memorial Fund, ℅ Cindy Torrence, 457 Old Stage Road, Roscommon, MI 48653.
