He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Newport and Evelyn Newport (Harvey). He is survived by: his wife Barb Bottum; his children, Kim Bousquet (Brian) of Beaver Island and Jason Newport of Lansing, Michigan; his grandson Tyler; and his siblings, David Newport (Patty), Marilyn Stuart, Marlene Bissett (Dan) and Yvonne Newport. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
