She was predeceased by: her parents, George MacDonald and Anne MacDonald (Cartwright); her husband Harold F. Nye of Hessel; her son Roy A. Nye; her grandsons, Corey Nye and Nick Sayles; her daughters-in-law, Carol Nye and Shari Nye; and her sisters, Eileen Nye and Muriel Roeske.
She is survived by: her children, Norma (George Nye), Tim Nye of Hessel, Brenda Hamel (Gene) of Hessel and Julie Nye of Portal, AZ; her daughter-in-law Bette Nye of Hessel; her grandchildren, Cedric Nye, Justin Nye, Michelle Gonyon, Galadriel Nye, Brian Hamel, Amanda Hamel-Gerding, Harmony Miscisin (Christopher) and Christian Sheber; her siblings, Kenneth MacDonald of New Hampshire, Paul MacDonald of Pennsylvania, Katy Rabe of New York, Margaret Hawkins of Arkansas and Judy Old (Marie) of Sault Ste; and her niece Julie Nye.
Any donations in lieu of flowers will be used to establish a memorial of the family's choice, in Norma's name, benefiting the Elementary division of Les Cheneaux Community Schools.
