He was predeceased by: his parents, George Luther and Pearl Margaret Dutcher (Chenier); his wife Frances Irene Kramen; and his siblings, Edwin, George Jr., William, Francis Dutcher, Doris Callaghen, Helen Leach and Dorothy Royer.

Dutcher (Donna) of Hessel, Cynthia Rose Smith (Robert) of Cedarville, Frank Allen Dutcher of Hessel, Rita Cheryl Nettleton (Ray) of Pickford, David Gerard Dutcher of Hessel and Jeffery Daniel Dutcher (Kim) of Brighton, Michigan; his grandchildren, Ian Roy Dutcher (Katlyn Frantz), Joseph Kramen Dutcher, Thomas James Dutcher, Kathryn Raye Dutcher, Kerrianne Rose Dutcher, Sheena Michelle Dutcher Burnside (Jeremy), DeAnna Jean Dutcher LaPonsie (Rob), Matthew John Smith (Caryn), Jennifer Marie Smith Hopkins (Brian), Jessica Michelle Smith Hudson (Ryan), Amber Faye McGruther, Joseph Michael McGruther, Casandra Lynn McGruther, Ashley Marie McGruther Sherlund (Aaron), Lance Michael Nettleton, Lisa Marie Nettleton, April Lynn Dutcher Schilman (Justin), Ashley Ann Dutcher Golden (Greg), Jeffery Daniel Dutcher II and Angelique Nicole Dutcher; his great grandchildren, Isabella Rose Hopkins, Shaelyn Irene Hopkins, David Heinz Hudson, Claire Julianna Hudson, Christopher Michael Haddox, Mackenzie Lynn Sherlund, Liberty Belle Sherlund, Briar Lynn Smith, Tristan Alexander Forgrave, Corbin Ezra Dutcher, Scarlet Beau Schilman, Brandon Schilman, Jacob Francis Golden and Asher Michael McGruther; and his sister Jeanne Mary Haynes of Indiana. He is also survived by his children that included wood burned drawings of the animals or birds.
