He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leonard Hilary and Dorothy Margaret Rye (Smith); his pet Spike; his children, Vaughn Rye (Elizabeth) of Hessel, Zachary Rye of Hessel and Callie Hausler of Petoskey; his grandchildren, Evan Rye, Rachael Rye, Shannon Hausler and Keira Hausler; his sister Carol Duncan of Cedarville; and his brothers-in-law, Walter Krakowski and John Duncan. He was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
