He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Shlaffer and Rita Shlaffer (Cayo); his uncle James Shlaffer; his cousin Charlie Sechen; and his great-nephew Drew Grasman.
He is survived by: his wife Lynne M. Rumsey (Balcom) of Fremont; his daughter Jamie Lash of Fremont; his grandchildren, Allegra Lash (Will Haynes) and Danny Lash; his great grandchild Letty; his daughter Monica Rumsey of Whitehall; his grandchildren, Jack Tucker, Max Tucker, Lucy Tucker and Charlie Tucker; his son Bobby Rumsey (Rachel) of Hesperia; his granddaughters, Hillary Wallstrom (Erik) and Deborah Sweet (Logan); his daughter Jill Priebe (Aaron) of South Haven; his grandchildren, Cooper, Elizabeth Priebe and Graham Priebe; his sisters, Marisue Garzelloni (Tom) of Norton Shores and Wendy Veltman (Rod); his aunts, Shirley Shlaffer of Muskegon and Dolly Rudd; and also, Addilyn and Liam. He is also survived by children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
