He is survived by: his mother Jean Karell (Van Dop); his wife Marian Zalsman of Mary's Catholic Church; his sons, Andrew Karell (Samantha), Mitchell Van Oosterhout, Michael Karell (Kyleigh) and James Karell; his granddaughter Selah Karell; his sister Lisa Nowlen (Patrick); and his brothers-in-law, Andy Zalsman (Kelly), Dan Zalsman (Melissa) and Jesse Zalsman. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
