He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Hysell and Ida Hysell (McLellan); his grandson Brandon Hysell; and his siblings, Elizabeth Carriveau, Shirley Aittama, Robert and Claude Hysell.

He is survived by: his sister Beverly Cherwinski (Dick); and his friend Ruth Mason. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren.
