He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Burrell and Arlie Burrell (Noble); his wife Evelyn; his siblings, Sandra Arrasmith, Chuck Burrell and Richard "Dick" Burrell; and his stepsons, Tom Clark, Gary Clark and Joel Clark.

He is survived by: his children, Patty Bolser (Ben) of Atlanta, Michigan, Kathy Reno (Archie) of Hessel, Michigan, Jacki Burrell of Petoskey, Mike Burrell of Hesperia and Mark Burrell (Cindy) of Hesperia; his sister-in-law Sharon Burrell; and his half-sister Judy Smith of Fremont. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
