He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl James and Ruth Girard (Harvey); and his brother-in-law Tom McArdle. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Elaine Zuehlk; his grandson Jeff (Sarah); his great grandchildren, Bryce, Kacey and Hailey; his grandchild Allisson (Patrick Kennedy); his great grandchild Mason; his daughter Jean Sorensen (Ray) of Hesperia; his grandchildren, Brett and Cami (Tyler VanHeukelom); his son Earl James Girard (Barbara) of Hesperia; his grandchildren, Candice, Genessa, Luciana, Alonso "Bud" and Christina Girard; and his sister Dona McArdle. He is also survived by four nieces, and one nephew.
