It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laurie Kailing of Hersey, Michigan, born in Southfield, Michigan, who passed away on November 10, 2024, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Sanders and Margaret Semelroth; and her daughter Elizabeth. She is survived by: her husband Anthony Kailing; her son Kirk (Lezley); her grandchildren, Joshua, Samantha, Lucas and Tyra Smith of Brooksville; her son Bryan (Cee Jae); her grandchildren, Athena, Isabelle, Ryleigh, Tessa and Blaire Smith (Anthony) of Evart, A. J.; her great grandchild Autumn Kailing of Hersey; her siblings, Larry Sanders of Munising and Libby Sanders-Ford of Saginaw; and her pet Misty. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home (13985 Northland Dr, Big Rapids, MI 49307). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (1009 Marion Ave, Big Rapids, MI 49307).
