With profound sadness, we say goodbye to David Idema of Hersey, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. David left this world on December 22, 2024 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Idema and Harriett Idema (Lubben); his grandson Mitchell; his brother Jack; and his sister-in-law Shirl Idema.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Idema; his sons, Kenneth Idema (Anne), Mark Idema and John Idema (Vicky); his grandchildren, Scott (Amber), Laurel (Aaron), Jessica and Josh; and his great grandchildren, Gabby, Isaac and Aubrey.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home (13985 Northland Dr, Big Rapids, MI 49307). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
