He was predeceased by: his parents, William Schmidt and Della Schmidt; and his siblings, William (Billy), Robert, Donald, Lyle, Kenneth and Mary Eastman.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Morlock; his children, Rhonda Atteberry (Sean), Diane White (Chris) and Michael Schmidt; his grandchildren, Rachel Lothschutz (Ben), Emily Grannis (Eric), Burke, Sara Atteberry, Jessica Atteberry Hunter (Steve), Tyler White and Brett White (Nate Bonnett); and his great grandchildren, Elijah, Ezekiel, Grayson and Griffin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Michigan and Hersey United Methodist Church.
