He is survived by: his wife Elaine Engman; his children, Matthew Thomas (Mary Grace) of Iron Mountain, Stacey Navarez (Jose) of Port Huron, MI and Stephanie Mauk (Amy) of Green Bay, WI; his stepchildren, Christy Lynn Kafka (Robert) and John Thomas (Maygen); and his sisters, Jean Marcell (Fred Antonissen) of Quinnesec, MI, Margaret Wilcox (Mike) of Lillian, AL, Elaine Pasinski Thomas (Christine) of Madison, WI, Diane Thomas of Middleton, WI and Phyllis Rappi (Scott) of Kingsford, MI. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; and 7 step-grandchildren.
