He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Frederick and Mary Scherzer (Rockwell). He is survived by: his children, Ryan Scherzer (Ashley) and Heidi Scherzer; his grandson Augustus Scherzer; his siblings, Rockwell Scherzer and Rosemary Martineau (Jim); his parents-in-law, Charles Kerns, Carolyn Kerns and Connie Hopp; his wife Julianne; his sister Nancy Bullinger (Mike); and his siblings-in-law, Anita Scherzer and Vern Hopp. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
