He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Malace and Edith Malace (Johnson McNeely); his wife Janice (Crawford); his daughter-in-law Connie Malace; his siblings, Joseph Malace, Lois Demo and Noral McNeely; and his siblings-in-law, William Demo, Ella Malace and Virginia McNeely.

He is survived by: his children, Larry Malace II (Beth) of Clarkston, Thomas Malace (Jennifer) of Bend and Lisa Skupin (Joseph) of Macomb; his grandchildren, Larry Malace III, Courtney Dodge (Nathaniel), Jackson Malace, Lillian Malace, Avery Malace, Joey Skupin and Josh Skupin; his great grandchildren, Jedidiah Dodge and Wesley Dodge; and his friend Dianna Stanley of AuGres.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Buresh Funeral Home - AuGres (101 E Michigan Ave, Au Gres, MI 48703). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.

Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are encouraged to give a donation to the Salvation Army or the Tawas Methodist Church in his name.
