It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vonda Jean Cappon of Hastings, Michigan, who passed away on February 24, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Vonda shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Vonda farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Marquerite Webb (James) and Wesley Webb; her daughter Darla Sue Cappon; and her sisters, Margaret and Phyllis.

She is survived by: her husband Marshall "Dutch" Cappon; and her children, Daryl Cappon (Donna), Terry Cappon (Dawn) and Marty Cappon (Carolyn). She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Nashville Baptist Church (312 Phillips St, Nashville, MI 49073). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Vonda's memory to Nashville Baptist Church.

“For the 12 years John and I were at Hastings Baptist Church, Dutch and Vonda Cappon were inspiring as a Christian couple, faithful to the Lord and the church. Vonda was a special friend to many, a humble servant serving where needed. Her homegoing at 94, is a celebration of a long and memorable life magnifying her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Gail Smith”
