Nelsen (Winters); his wife Betty Jo Nelsen; his brother Ross Nelsen; his sons, Michael, Randall (Laura), James (Mary Kay) and Jerald "Jed" Nelsen; and his granddaughters, Colleen Grulke (JR), Caroline Silvia (Devin), Megan Veltman (Alex) and Amy Grochowalski (Brandon). He was also cherished by 4 great-grandchildren.
