He was predeceased by: his parents, Jakob Laubenstein and Herta Laubenstein (Schenkle); his wife Sharon Laubenstein (Doll); and his siblings, Siegfried Laubenstein and Adelheid "Heidi" Cantrell (Laubenstein).
He is survived by: his sons, Eric of La Salle, MI and Joseph Laubenstein of La Salle, MI; his sister Hildeburg Kehrer of Monroe, MI; his nieces, Heide Marie Setzler (Laubenstein) of Monroe, MI, Jennifer Neikirk (Kehrer) of Monroe and Julie Richard (Kehrer) of Broomfield, CO.; and his nephew Ralph Neal of Grand Rapids.
